Waiting for Mortgage Rates to Drop? Watch This First

A lot of buyers are putting their plans on hold until mortgage rates come down. But historically, today’s rates are closer to normal than many people realize. The ultra-low rates during the pandemic were the exception, not the rule. Waiting for those record-low rates to return could mean missing opportunities that are available right now. If buying a home is important to you, The Kombrink Team can help you explore strategies that make today’s market work for your budget.

We talk to a lot of buyers who are saying the same thing right now... "I'm going to wait until mortgage rates come down."

And honestly, we understand why. But today’s rates may not be as bad as you think. Hear me out. I know rates feel high right now, but they actually aren’t all that high. They’re pretty normal.

This shows that historically, mortgage rates have spent most of their time somewhere between about five and ten percent. That’s the blue.

And that’s right where we are today.

The ultra-low rates we saw during the pandemic? This proves those were definitely not normal.

And we’re unlikely to see rates like that again anytime soon, especially with inflation where it is. Now, that doesn't mean today's rates are your dream scenario.

But it does mean waiting to snag a super low rate again may not be a strategy that pays off in the long run.

So, if moving is important to you, reach out to The Kombrink Team and let's talk about the options that can help make today's market work for you – no matter where rates are.
